well folks its been a few weeks now since we started the project and we have had the wettest weather ever it has rained pretty much non stop since the start of the project. But despite all theat, the garden is being done my husband has been out there rain or shine digging and whatever no matter what. The last few days it has been dry though so at least now the earth is starting to dry out and generally making it a littl easier to walk on thank god.

The new fence is up and the the decking is down the next phase is to dig out the footings for the patio an the path and believe it or not we will be then more than half way, the end is nigh so they say. already though you can appreciate what it will look like as it no longer resembles the building site, it just looks now like a raw garden, we have the plans and the ideas and it is all starting to take shape.

I for one cannot wait until the summer to see the end results and marvel in the garden remembering what it started out like is starting to fade in the memory bank of bad dreams.

The photos I will post on the site when it is done so you can see what we had what we done and what we ended up with.

The next project is the bashing through from the utility room through the kitchen and into the dinning room to make one large kitchen/breakfast/dinning room with french doors that will open out onto the new patio. another project I will photograph and post on the site, as this one is indooors, part of me looks forward to the new bits and kitchen, with a great deal of awe, and wonder knowing that it will make the house much better and the other part of me dreads it having no kitchen, or utility room for washing, living in  a cloud of duct for a couple of months. But hey if I want a nice home its a small cross to bear for a little while I guess.

I will keep you posted..
