My husband doing a track day at Bands Hatch, last year.
He is a one off my husband, he does everything to the max, there are never any half measures when it comes to the passions in his life, tarck days being one of those passions, he rides hard and fast, scarey to me but he excels at it and to watch him you cant help seeing why, he has such a devil may care attitude that nothing phases him out there, to be honest even if he felt phased by any of it you would not be able to tell.
Not long now before the new year of track days dawns on us and, yet again he will spend hours preparing the bike etc ready for the days out there on track when if nothing else he gets to ride at the speeds that the roads most definately couldnt cope with on a safety note.
if there are any wives out there who fear the track, you are not alone, what I would like to say though is that although you may worry, dont the track is probably the safest place for your husband to demonstrate his speed and agility on the machine he has got, unlike the roads there is no on coming traffic, no complete ***** out there who dont like bikers, and whats more should he come off, which obviously could, can and does happen, he will be attended to by medics within seconds, unlike the roads, where not only could he be knocked off, he also could be left alone and hurt for some time before medics arrive. so when you look at it in this way, I most definately for one would rather my husband rode his bike on track.
